Regarding Phione's name origin, it could also be a combination of "phony" (as it is techically a fake Manaphy) and "clione". Taromon777 20:39, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
Usually characters are replaced with different letters to make it sound like the original. So "Phi" may just be a nonsense syllable with no meaning, but a purpose: to differ from reality. Link of Hyrule 20:56, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
