No wonder I keep losing

Until today, I always thought my losses were just due to a lack of better skill or team, now I see that Platinum and HGSS's nifty upgrades have become another apparent problem. But even if it is sad to see Heracross, Weavile, Blissey and Electivire on that list, I still have won a few of wifi battles with them against some higher tier teams, or at least have put a few dents in them. Giratina Double teams

I have a use for Giratina: double battles in PtHGSS. I traded my Arceus and Giratina from my Pt to my HG, obtained another Giratina through Sinjoh Ruins, and gave my Griseous Orb to one of the Giratina. That makes a Defense and Offense team where one is defense and offense, but they are the same. That's a use for Giratina (Altered Forme). Pawsrent 14:33, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

Author's response

@Knuclear: Keep in mind that just because they're on the list doesn't mean they're completely useless, just not on par with top tier teams. You always have to factor in the fact that in Pokemon, you don't just have one but 5 other Pokemon. So if you make them work, more power to you.

@Pawsrent: Most battle communities enforce species clause, which prevents Pokemon of the same Pokedex number from being used. Same Pokedex number meaning that different forms of the same Pokemon may not be used on the same team. However, you are partially right because at the time this article was written, the VGC international tournament didn't happen yet and apparently the most popular uber after Palkia and Kyogre was Scarf Giratina AF.

Funny thing is...

...Black and White coming out could mean even a decrowning of the beast known as Deoxys A, not to mention that Triple and Rotation Battles give whole new chances for once forgotten Pokemon to shine (By the way, with Combination attacks, I am predicting the Fire Oath/Water Oath Combo may possibly put Togekiss into Triple Battle Ubers. After all, a rainbow that boosts the chances of secondary effects? If that stacks with Serene Grace, then Pokemon like Togekiss and even Dunsparce will tear the battle field up Shadowater 10:34, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
