The third companion to {{bp|Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Versions}}, '''{{bp|Pokémon Platinum Version}}''' (ポケットモンスタープラチナ), was officially announced today by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo. The game, much like [[bp:Pokémon Emerald Version|Emerald]] of the previous generation, features an altered storyline (now with {{p|Giratina}} appearing at {{bp|Mt. Coronet}}), as well as different outfits for {{bp|player character|the protagonists}}. Additionally, Giratina appears in its previously-announced Origin Forme, whose {{bp|ability}} is now known to differ from {{a|Pressure}} (which is Another Forme's ability).

The information provided on the official Japanese Pokémon Web site is essentially the same as that in the magazines; nothing else has been revealed as of yet. The site provides two in-game screen shots and some basic facts.
