According to the official Japanese website for Pokémon, a new project is to be announced via a live Niconico stream, ''Monthly Famitsu feat. Pokémon Special'', scheduled for Aug. 26 at 10 p.m. JST.

Along with the statement that a new project is expected to be announced, the special guests for the announcement include {{bp|Tsunekazu Ishihara}}, the president and CEO of The Pokémon Company and producer of Pokémon, and the voice actors {{wp|Nobuhiko Okamoto}} and {{bp|Aoi Yūki}}. {{wp|Ayana Tsubaki}} and Bunbun-maru will be serving as the MCs for the event. There will also be two other guests, whose names are not known at the moment.
