The Pokémon Company has officially promoted Ultra {{p|Necrozma}} (and its exclusive Z-Move) and {{p|Naganadel}} for the first time. These were all introduced in {{bp|Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon}}, which was released on November 17, 2017. While the information itself was already contained in the games, this is the first release of the standard official artwork for these Pokémon.

Ultra Necrozma is a new form of {{bp|Necrozma}} introduced in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. It is {{2t|Psychic|Dragon}}-type and has the unique Ability {{bp|Neuroforce}}, which increases the power of moves which would be super effective. Necrozma can change into this form by performing an Ultra Burst, which requires it to hold an {{bp|Ultranecrozium Z}}. It has the exclusive {{bp|Z-Move}} {{m|Light That Burns the Sky}}, which it can use if it knows {{m|Photon Geyser}}.

The video released by the {{bp|Pokémon Company}} on December 14th, 2017 showed two new features of {{bp|Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon}} not previously released as a teaser.
The {{bp|Ultra Beast}} {{bp|Naganadel}}, codenamed UB Adhesive, is the evolved form of {{bp|Poipole}}, both of which were introduced in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. It is {{type|Poison|Dragon}} and has the Ability {{bp|Beast Boost}}.


Firstly, a new form of {{bp|Necrozma}} was shown called ''Ultra Necrozma''. It's typing is {{bp|Psychic}}, {{bp|Dragon}} and has the ability {{bp|Neuroforce}}. It is no longer black but white and gold and has 4 wings and a tail. The video also revealed a new {{bp|Z-Move}} called {{bp|Light That Burns the Sky (move)|Light That Burns the Sky}}.

Secondly, the video showed that UB Adhesive or {{bp|Poipole}} has an evolution. Its evolution is called UB Stinger or {{bp|Naganadel}}. It has the typing {{bp|Poison}}, Dragon with the ability {{bp|Beast Boost}}.
