The Ultra Sinnoh Classic Wi-Fi tournament has been announced. Participants will receive 50 Battle Points. Participants will have to win or lose one battle to receive the Battle Points. Participants may register between midnight UTC on Feb. 15 and 11:59 p.m. UTC on Feb. 22. The competition will run from midnight UTC on Feb. 23 until 11:59 p.m. UTC on Feb. 25. Rankings will be announced some time in March. Players born in 2003 or later will be in the Junior/Senior Division. Players born in 2002 or earlier will be in the Master Division. Junior Division players can only battle between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. local time.

This competition will use the Single Battles format, where only Pokémon in the Sinnoh Pokédex can be used. Pokémon may not hold Mega Stones, Z-Crystals, or duplicate items. Regional variants may also not be used. Regigigas, Cresselia, Heatran, Giratina, Dialga, Palkia, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, nor Arceus may be used in this tournament. Pokémon brought over from other generations may be used. All Pokémon will be automatically set to level 50. Each battle will last a maximum of 10 minutes. Players will have 90 seconds to choose which Pokémon they will use in each battle, and 60 seconds to choose an attack or switch Pokémon. Participants can battle 15 times a day for a maximum of 45 battles. Participants will battle using the Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon games.
