2016 International Challenge - March Wi-Fi tournament announced
The 2016 International Challenge - March Wi-Fi tournament has been announced. The top 256 players in each age division will receive Championship Points. All participants who win or loss at least one battle will receive 2,000 Poké Miles. Players can register from midnight UTC on March 17 until 11:59 p.m. UTC on March 24. The tournament will run from midnight UTC on March 25 until 11:59 p.m. UTC on March 27. The rankings will be released some time in April.
50,000 spots will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Players born in or after 2001 will be in the Junior/Senior Division. Players born in or before 2000 will be in the Master Division. Players in the Junior/Senior Division can only battle between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. local time. This tournament will use the official VGC 2016 rules. Players may only use Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
All Pokémon above level 50 will be automatically set to level 50. Pokémon brought over from the Generation V games cannot be used in this competition. All battles will last a maximum of 15 minutes. Players will have 90 seconds to decide what Pokémon they will bring to each battle, and 45 seconds to switch or use an attack every turn. Players may battle 15 times a day for a maximum of 45 battles.
