Details for the Halloween Party competition and the Hoenn Pokémon NicoNico Match that will be held in October have been announced. Halloween Party will be available to all international players. The Hoenn Pokémon NicoNico Match will only be open to Japan.

Hoenn Pokémon NicoNico Match

The Hoenn Pokémon NicoNico Match competition will be held from 9:00 a.m. JST on Oct. 10 until 8:59 a.m. JST on Oct. 14. Participants may register between 2:00 p.m. JST on Oct. 2 and 8:59 a.m. JST on Oct. 10. Participants who record 5 wins or losses will be able to receive 2,525 Poké Miles. 50,000 players may be able to participate, on a first-come first-serve basis. Players that were born in or later than 1996 will be in the Junior Division. Players that were born in or earlier than 1995 will be in the Master Division. Participants in the Junior Division will not be able to battle between 11 p.m. JST and 6 a.m. JST. The rankings will be announced on Oct. 17.

This competition will use a Double Battles format, with only Pokémon that are numbers 252-384 in the National Pokédex eligible for use. Players may only have one of either Kyogre, Groudon, or Rayquaza on their team. Pokémon that were transferred from Pokémon Black and White and Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 may be used in this competition. The Pokémon must be registered in the Battle Box on the PC. Each Pokémon will be set to Level 25 for this competition.

Battles will have a maximum time of 25 minutes. Players will have 25 seconds per turn, and 25 seconds to select which Pokémon they would like to use. They may battle 25 times a day.

Halloween Party

The Halloween Party competition will be held from 9:00 a.m. JST on Oct. 24 until 8:59 a.m. JST on Oct. 27. Participants may register between 2:00 p.m. JST on Oct. 16 and 8:59 a.m. JST on Oct. 24. The rankings will be released on Oct. 31. Players that were born in 2000 or later will be in the Junior Division. Players that were born in 1999 or earlier will be in the Master Division. Junior Division players will not be able to battle from 11:00 p.m. JST until 6:00 a.m. JST. Each participant that records a win or loss will be able to receive five Rare Candies. 50,000 players may be able to participate, on a first-come first-serve basis.

Players may use any Ghost-type Pokémon in the National Pokédex, except for Rotom and Giratina. Each team must contain a Super Size Gourgeist. Pokémon that were transferred from the Pokémon Black and White and Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 games may not be used. The Pokémon must be registered in the Battle Box on the PC. This competition will use a Single Battles format. Pokémon will be set to level 50 for this competition. Each battle will have a maximum length of 30 minutes. Players will have 60 seconds per turn, and 90 seconds to select which Pokémon they would like to use. They may battle 10 times a day.
