After no release list announced for Quarter 1, Nintendo of Europe announced its Quarter 2 releases in a more typical form, confirming a selection of Wii and DS games for release on the continent through October. Among the games announced and dated are the Chunsoft-developed Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness, sequels to the 2006 (2005 in Japan) Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue Teams, which enjoyed a successful reception in Europe as a major Christmas release that year. The new games will be available in Europe beginning July 4, two months after their American release (matching the time frame between releases for Pokémon Diamond and Pearl).

Also announced was the long-awaited date for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, releasing in Europe on the June 27, four full months after the American release. The game features Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Lucario and Pokémon Trainer (with Ivysaur, Charizard and Squirtle), while many more Pokémon feature as Poké Ball items, Stickers, or Trophies.

The WiiWare service, set to eventually include the upcoming Everyone's Pokémon Ranch, will be launched on May 20, while Everybody's Nintendo Channel—a service that allows one to watch previews of upcoming Nintendo games and download DS demos through the Wii—will launch 10 days later on the May 30.
