Nintendo of America has officially confirmed an April 22 release date for Pokémon Diamond and Pearl in North America. A press release written by the company provided other details, such as a promotion where fans who pre-order the games will receive a special Nintendo DS stylus featuring Generation IV Pokémon.

The press release confirms that Team Galaxy will be translated as Team Galactic.

Participating retailers will offer special DS styluses to those who pre-order the games. More details of this offer will be released at a later date.

"After recently celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Pokémon franchise continues to get stronger," said George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "These two new titles represent the best that Pokémon has to offer, and a great opportunity for Game Boy users to upgrade to Nintendo DS."

Pokémon Diamond and Pearl will be rated E for Everyone.
