North American Pokémon Battle Revolution release date revealed

Nintendo of America has announced the North American release date of Pokémon Battle Revolution, the first Pokémon game for Wii. The game, with Wi-Fi capability, will be available June 25.

According to NOA's press release, Pokémon Battle Revolution is the first Wii game to connect to Nintendo's online service, the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection; the first Wii game to link up with a Nintendo DS title (Pokémon Diamond and Pearl); the first Wii game than can be controlled by the Nintendo DS; and the first Pokémon game for Wii.

The game was announced at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. Nintendo announced release dates for other prominent games including Mario Party 8 for Wii (May 29) and a Web browser for Nintendo DS (June 4).
