Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions to be performed in United Arab Emirates
|
Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions will be performed in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on March 31, 2017 starting from 7:10 pm. The concert will be held on the Mother of the Nation Festival main stage at Abu Dhabi Corniche. Due to the open air nature of the concert, attendance does not require any additional purchase for participants at the Mother of the Nation Festival. However, an entry fee to the festival venue is applicable. Tickets are available for sale starting from March 26, with a price range from 20 AED (approx. $5.50 USD) for adults to 10 AED ($2.75 USD) for children aged 12 to 5 years; children under five years enter for free. Tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster or at the gate. Tickets are only valid for a single day entry at specific dates during the period of the festival.
This is the first Symphonic Evolutions concert to be performed in the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East region overall. The Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority collaborated with The Pokémon Company International and Princeton Entertainment to make this concert possible as part of the 2017 Mother of the Nation Festival. Mother of the Nation Festival, which is named after Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Al Ketbi (third and last surviving wife of the late Sheikh Zayed - founder and first president of the federation), is an annual festival for all residents to celebrate the inspirational values of the Sheikha about upholding happiness, progress and family.
Due to the nature of the concert being part of a festival program than an independent event, the official Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions website does not list the Abu Dhabi concert on their schedule.
Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions is a series of official concerts presented by The Pokémon Company International that plays orchestral arrangements of various songs from the core series Pokémon games. The concert has been held in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
