The Pokémon Company International has mailed out sneak peek packages to selected fans, asking them to announce the return of the Pokémon Center website. This site will reopen on August 6, 2014, and will allow fans to purchase Pokémon merchandise. This will include both brand-new items and items previously exclusive to Japanese Pokémon Center stores. The website will be located at PokemonCenter.com.

The card sent to Twitter user @AshFangirlLisa

This sneak peek was offered to a select few Pokémon fans, currently only known to be offered by Twitter. Known people to have received this package are Twitter user @TEEZ_WORLD, Twitter user @AshFangirlLisa, Marriland, TheJWittz, NintendoFanGirl, two-time US VGC National Champion Aaron Zheng, and Nugget Bridge. Selected fans received a DM on Twitter from the official Pokémon Twitter account around June 21, asking them to send postage details to a special promotions email address hosted under the pokemon.com domain, and were informed their package would be posted the next week. The packages were intended to arrive on July 2 in the United States.

The Pokémon Center website was closed in early 2008, at which time Pokémon USA (now The Pokémon Company International) announced that it would sell Pokémon merchandise exclusively through retailers.

Update:  The Pokémon Center website is now offering 3 products per week for sale until the official launch of the site. It currently only ships to the United States (specifically, the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Protectorates, and APO/FPO).
