The Scrappy Skirmish Wi-Fi competition has been announced. 1,000 Poké Miles will be available for all participants. This competition was the winner of the poll taken in Sept. as to what competition players wanted to have in Nov. Players may register between midnight UTC on Nov. 5 and 11:59 p.m. UTC on Nov. 12. The competition will be held from midnight UTC on Nov. 13 until 11:59 p.m. UTC on Nov. 15. The rankings will be announced in late Nov.

There will be 50,000 spots available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Players born in 2001 or later will be in the Junior/Senior Division. Players born in 2000 or earlier will be in the Master Division. Players in the Junior Division may only play between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. local time. Participants may only use the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games. The Pokémon that were in the top 12 of any of the competitions this season that had the Double Battles format cannot be used. Pokémon transferred from the Generation V games can not be used.

The following legendary Pokémon may not be used: Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Diancie, and Hoopa.

The following Pokémon were in the top 12 in previous Double Battles competitions and may not be used as well: Venusaur, Charizard, Pikachu, Gengar, Kangaskhan, Jolteon, Lanturn, Ampharos, Suicune, Tyranitar, Ludicolo, Gardevoir, Mawile, Manectric, Salamence, Luxray, Garchomp, Electivire, Rotom, Heatran, Cresselia, Emolga, Amoonguss, Galvantula, Eelektross, Stunfisk, Bisharp, Hydreigon, Terrakion, Thundurus, Landorus, Greninja, Talonflame, Aegislash, Heliolisk, and Sylveon.

4-6 Pokémon must be registered in the Battle Box on the PC. All Pokémon will be set to level 50 for this competition. Four of the six Pokémon may be used for each battle. Participants may battle up to 10 times a day for a maximum of 30 for this competition. Each battle will last a maximum of 20 minutes. Players will have 90 seconds to choose which four Pokémon they will battle with and 60 seconds to use a move or switch out for another Pokémon.
