A preview video of [[bp:Super Smash Bros. Brawl|Super Smash Bros. Brawl]] posted on the official Japanese Wii site has revealed the inclusion of {{p|Lucario}} as a playable character in the game. {{p|Jigglypuff}} was also seen as a returning character.

As seen in the video at http://wii.com/jp/movies/smashbros-movie1/ in the lower, right hand corner at 4:20, Lucario is seen next to the face of the Pokemon Trainer and Jigglypiuff, confirming his appearance as playable character in the upcoming Wii game, Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The sight was caught by eagle-eyed Japanese fans, and was broken to the English Speaking audience by Edible of GameFAQs.
At 4:20 in [http://wii.com/jp/movies/smashbros-movie1 the video], the faces of Lucario and Jigglypuff are seen among {{p|Pikachu}}'s and [[bp:Red (game)|Pokémon Trainer]]'s in the lower right corner of the screen as playable characters who can use the powers of selected stickers in the Subspace Emissary adventure mode. In the relevant screenshot, the selected sticker is of {{p|Groudon}}.

It is likely that Lucario, like Jigglypuff in past Smash Bros. games, will be an unlockable character, possibly replacing {{p|Mewtwo}}, who was playable in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

The trailer also revealed the inclusion of Ness, who had not yet been confirmed on the official Smash Bros. Web site.
