After [[Pokémon Scramble U confirmed as first Wii U game to use NFC|CoroCoro's reveal]] that {{bp|Pokémon Scramble U}} would use {{wp|near field communication|NFC}}, today an official trailer has been revealed, along with the first set of NFC figures.

The first set of NFC figures contains {{p|Bulbasaur}}, {{p|Pikachu}}, {{p|Torchic}}, {{p|Piplup}}, {{p|Lucario}}, {{p|Victini}}. The Pikachu will have the {{bp|Special Trait}} Punchy when used. The figures will be sold at {{bp|Pokémon Center (store)|Pokémon Center stores}} and be available starting from April 24, 2013. They are sold in closed capsules in vending machines, like {{wp|gashapon}}.

A special carrying case for the figures will also for sale for and introductory price of ¥580, and will later cost ¥780.
