During the second Pokémon Direct, [http://www.pokemonxy.com/en-us/strategy/ Pokémon Bank] was shown to be a new feature downloadable only on 3DS-family devices. This software will allow the user to deposit their Pokémon directly onto a special Cloud server. The Pokémon Bank will hold up to 3000 Pokémon and can be accessed at any time as long the user is connected to the internet in some fashion. It is also tied to the 3DS device as opposed to a specific game which hints at allowing a person an easier time of transferring Pokémon from one version to the other. In addition, Pokémon Bank has a variety of search functions, even with 3000 Pokémon, a person won't have to worry about being unable to find the Pokémon they need.
