A new software update for {{bp|Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon}} is now available for download which brings the game up to version 1.2.
 
As a result of the release of this patch, {{m4|Curse|String Shot|Forest's Curse|Power Trick}} may now be used in the Video Game Championships once again. The moves were temporarily banned due a bug that was causing game crashes in link battles that was believed to be related to these moves.
 
A new software update for {{bp|Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon}}, version 1.2, became available for download on Feb. 6, 2018.
