{{catg|Pokémon GO}}
The Water Festival is returning to {{bp|Pokémon GO}} and starts June 7, 1:00 PM {{bp|Pacific Time Zone|PDT}} and ends June 21. {{bp|Water (type)|Water-type}} Pokémon such as {{bp|Magikarp}} and {{bp|Wailmer}} will appear more frequently in the wild. Players can also encounter rare {{bp|Shiny Pokémon|Shiny}} {{bp|Shellder}}, which hasn't previously been in the game.

Players will be able to earn 3× {{bp|Stardust (GO)|Stardust}} for catching Water-type Pokémon. In addition, 2 km Eggs will hatch Pokémon such as {{bp|Totodile}}, {{bp|Mudkip}}, and {{bp|Corphish}}. On top of that, players can earn Double {{bp|Candy (GO)|Candy}} and Stardust for every Egg hatched.

{{bp|Gym (GO)|Raid Battles}} will feature powerful Water-type Pokémon, including the {{bp|Legendary Pokémon}} {{bp|Kyogre}}. If players successfully challenge Kyogre, there is a chance players will encounter its Shiny form.
