{{bp|Niantic}} have announced that traded {{bp|Pokémon}} in {{bp|Pokémon GO}} can be ''Lucky Pokémon'' and can receive a new trait. Players that receive a Lucky Pokémon need less {{bp|Stardust (GO)|Stardust}} to trade and the Pokémon will have higher {{bp|Statistic#CP|CP}}.

The longer the Pokémon spends inside a player's storage, the higher the chance of them becoming Lucky Pokémon when they are traded.

In addition, Gifts have been changed. Players who send Gifts to friends will now receive {{bp|Experience#Pokémon GO|XP}} for doing so and Gifts also have a chance of containing Stardust.
