{{bp|Nintendo}} have announced the {{bp|Nintendo Switch Lite}}, a handheld-only variant of the Nintendo Switch. It will be released worldwide on September 20, 2019.

One of the primary features of the flagship Nintendo Switch is its ability to be played in one of three different modes: Handheld Mode, Tabletop Mode, or TV Mode. In contrast, the Nintendo Switch Lite can only be played in Handheld Mode. The Nintendo Switch Lite does not come with Joy-Con controllers; instead, the system and buttons all form a single piece of hardware. As a result, the Nintendo Switch LightLite does not have HD rumble or an infrared camera. Additionally, the directional buttons have been replaced with a D-Pad. For games that require Joy-Cons, such as {{wp|1-2-Switch}}, they must be purchased separately.

The system will be available in three different colors: yellow, grey and turquoise.
