In the most recent TCG Press Release from Pokémon, the first XY expansion has been announced. Pokémon TCG: {{TCG|XY}} will be released in English Feb. 5, 2014. Additionally announced was that the [[PokéCollection promotes additional XY TCG merchandise|Kalos Starter Set]] decks releasing alongside the Black & White: {{TCG|Legendary Treasures}} expansion will feature the {{bp|Fairy (TCG)|Fairy-type}} and {{TCG|Fairy Energy}}.
