David Narter, a Chicago High School teacher, is bringing a unique production to the stage this weekend. He has written and directed "Pokemon: Gotta Buy' Em All (a Parody)", based on the Pokémon anime genre. The rendition is based on Tracy West's  adaptation novel "Pokemon: The First Movie".

Students perform the show without costumes or props and are on stage during the play's running time, which is aroun 30 minutes. According to Nartar, the satire is "quick paced, loud, weird and funny."

The production debuts Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Little Theater at East Leyden, 3400 N. Rose St. Admission is $2 for students and $3 for adults. To add to the parody, the first 50 ticket buyers each night receive a free special edition card featuring a cast member.
