Update:  Images and video added. Although their debut games are still months away, Reshiram and Zekrom will be on display at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this Thursday. The two legendary Pokémon will be part of a "specialty unit" presented by The Pokémon Company International. Each dragon will stand fourteen feet tall.

Reshiram and Zekrom in the parade

Reshiram and Zekrom are the box mascots for the upcoming Pokémon Black and White. These games were released earlier in the year in Japan, with international releases scheduled for Spring 2011. However, avid fans in the audience will already be familiar with some of the new Pokémon characters: Reshiram and Zekrom were announced worldwide on May 28, 2010; the three starter Pokémon Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott were revealed Monday.

The Pikachu balloon, flying in this year's parade

As reported earlier, Pikachu will also be on display in the parade. Handlers of the electric mouse will be dressed in black and white, as opposed to the usual yellow, in honor of the upcoming release of Pokémon Black and White. This parade also marks the tenth year that Pikachu has been flying in the parade, although two different balloons have flown over the decade.

Pokémon fans can come to downtown Manhattan to watch the parade, while fans further afield can catch the parade (not to mention the Pokémon) on NBC (except in Houston and Detroit) at 9am in all time zones.
