I can Nintendo still refuses to release patch notes about what is actually fixed/changed/added... Still, I have no idea WHY this freaking patch requires almost 300 blocks of storage space for AS, and another 200 for Y! I have to delete other stuff just to access online play again (and I never do online battles, so all this is doing is preventing me from trading or giving/receiving O-Powers). It does tick me off that it only gives that "general bug fixes" message, because I feel like we need to know WHAT the bug fixes are not just for the sake of knowing but for the sake of media archival, being able to go back and see why the patch was needed and what it was for. I honestly thought I would only have this problem with Apple, but I was wrong.

Now, I have a theory as to what the patch was released to fix, as the glitch that occured as a result shows in what area of the game it was. You know how when you do a random online battle with someone from a different country and the name of that person's Pokémon, not their nicknames but species names, are in language of that person's game? Well, I think the latch was made to automatically default the names of foreign Pokémon in random battles to the language of the player's game, i.e. if you were playing a person on a German-language game and they sent out a Snorlax, you would see Snorlax, and not Relaxo (Snorlax's German name). The fact that the glitch is caused by Pokémon names between games of different languages, most commonly a Latin alphabet game vs. a Japanese-language game, and also that the glitch was fixed by displaying Pokémon nicknames in random battles as opposed to the name of the Pokémon species, proves my point. --ShinyLinoone 01:08, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
