Fans of the Pokémon anime will have to wait to see how the Houen League ends, thanks to TV Tokyo. The Japanese television station has pre-empted the Pokémon anime for three separate dates this summer in favor of other programming.

The June 2 and June 9 timeslots will be devoted to baseball, an extremely popular sport in Japan. Pokémon fans will have to wait until June 16 to see the outcome of Satoshi's deciding match with Tetsuya. July 14 will give audiences another chance at seeing the seventh Pokémon movie, The Sky-Splitting Visitor - Deoxys, just in time for seeing the eighth, Mew and the Wave-Guiding Hero - Lucario, in theaters two days later on July 16.
