Opinion piece
Bulbanews does enjoy opinion pieces, but yours... is downright terrible.
For one, the grammar is absolutely awful. That would barely be accepted as a forums post, what with it being just one gigantic, rambling paragraph. As a news article... augh. No plz.
Your spelling also needs some work. I can count several just within the first line: announced, Pokémon, version. It's the same throughout the article, with no spaces between periods and the next sentence, rare capitalization, and completely ignoring several other things.
Please. When writing for Bulbagarden, you must be incredibly professional. Imagine it to be turning in an essay for your teacher. Important! Grammatically correct! Ultimately, of course, it must make sense. Yours is basically a stream of consciousness, with you throwing every criticism you could at the games. "OH BLACK AND WHITE, THIRD VERSION'S GRAY HOW UNCREATIVE." Let's not forget our roots. Red and Green, followed by Blue. That's the three primary colors of light! And outside of Japan, Red and Blue, followed by Yellow. That's the three primary colors you learn as a kid.
So in closing, please, clean up your stuff, and try and run stuff by the EiC of either BN or BP (I'm the latter), or another member of the Board of Editors of Bulbanews, before posting it. TTEchidna 21:49, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
I just did another opinon piece. I watched my grammar and spelling more but some of it is in a box.How did it end up there ?how do i get it out? Why doesn't it give me the option to edit it? I'm pretty new to this article writing stuff! help me before somone yells at me about this!---lucairo123
- No it's still terrible. If you're using Internet Explorer PLEASE DO NOT, GO GET FIREFOX. The problems lie in the formatting and grammar mainly. If you're using your own made-up terms... don't. Use the commonly accepted ones, Elite Four and Champion. Capitalize properly. Spell game names properly. Emerald. Not Emrald. And Bulbapedia, not Bulbapiedia.
- No indenting before paragraphs, wiki software handles that in its own way. Just do a double return line. I'm glad that you're eager to learn, though. You might have a chance yet. Try to borrow the writing style of some of the other editorials on Bulbanews, though. Not word-for-word, but don't have so many "I's" in there. TTEchidna 00:28, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
