{{p|Croagunk}} has been announced as a new playable character for {{bp|Pokkén Tournament}}. It will be added to the arcade version in an update on November 10, 2016. No details about the {{bp|Wii U}} version have been revealed.

Croagunk is already in the game as a Support Pokémon, but is now being added as a playable fighter. It [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pUP2Whd78M has been shown] that Croagunk will remain a Support Pokémon as well, and can be used as a Support Pokémon at the same time as using Croagunk as the fighter.

Croagunk is the third fighter not present in the Wii U version to be added to Pokkén Tournament since the release of the Wii U version, following [[Darkrai to be playable in Pokkén Tournament|Darkrai]] and [[Scizor to be playable in Pokkén Tournament|Scizor]].
