Fans were able to request a character to be added to the game using Twitter, and Gengar was the Pokémon that was selected. Gengar will also be able to {{bp|Mega Evolution|Mega Evolve}} in the game. Pokkén Tournament is a game that will be released in Japanese arcades in summer this year. So far, the other confirmed fighters are {{p|Pikachu}}, {{p|Machamp}}, {{p|Suicune}}, {{p|Gardevoir}}, and {{p|Lucario}}.
