I looked these up in a dictionary:

It appears that the Scarlet and Crimson entries are merely alternate Kanji spellings for Pokemon Red, which can be translated as Crimson or Scarlet in English. 赤, 朱, and 紅 can all be pronounced "aka", the word for "red". [[User:DanPMK|DanPMK]] 13:22, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
