Arceus codes will be available at various locations throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, Russia, and Australia starting August 1, 2016.

The codes are available starting August 1 in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Panama, Portugal, Russia, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. They will be available starting August 17 in Denmark, Finland and Norway. See [[#Locations and dates|the table below]] for details on each country. Notably, this is the first of the 20th Anniversary Mythical Pokémon serial code distributions to be available in Latin America.

This Arceus is level 100 and knows the moves {{m4|Judgment|Recover|Hyper Beam|Perish Song}}. It has no held item and a {{bp|Classic Ribbon}}. It has the {{bp|original Trainer}} GF and the {{bp|Trainer ID number}} 08016.

The codes can be redeemed from August 1 to November 30, 2016. They can be redeemed in {{bp|Pokémon X and Y|Pokémon X, Y}}, {{bp|Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire|Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire}}.

This distribution is the seventh of the [[Mythical Pokémon to be distributed throughout 2016|Mythical Pokémon distributions]] being held to promote the {{bp|Pokémon 20th Anniversary}}. A different Pokémon will be distributed during each month this year (except January). All of the distributions are confirmed for Europe, the North America and Australia, but only the North America has details for all the distributions.

In the North American distribution, it has been confirmed that the majority will be online, with one every 3 months being an in-store code distribution.
