People who have attended the Pokémon GO Fest and completed the exclusive Special Research for Celebi at that event will receive some Celebi candy for completing these new Special Research tasks. Niantic have also announced that once the Special Research for Celebi is released then Pokémon originally discovered in the {{bp|Johto}} region will appear more frequently and more Field Research tasks relating to Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region will be available around this time. New clothes will also be avialble in the Style Shop including {{bp|Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver}} Trainer avatar items which will be unlocked in the shop according to the player's Johto medal progress and there will also be a free Celebi T-shirt.
