{{game|Platinum}}, the third version of {{game|Diamond and Pearl|s}}, has been announced for a North American release — March 22.

The release date was leaked by Circuit City. Several names have been revealed for new characters and locations in the game.

The character of {{bp|Pluto}}, {{bp|Team Galactic}}'s resident scientist, has been renamed '''Charon''', likely to avoid conflict with [[wp:Disney|Disney]] much in the same way Team Galactic itself was renamed from the more literal ''[[wp:Team Galaxy (TV series)|Team Galaxy]]''. In addition, the police officer {{bp|Handsome}} has been renamed '''Looker'''.

The {{bp|Ruined World}} will now apparently go by the moniker of '''Distortion World''', fitting to the strange physics of the alternate world.

In addition, the Circuit City page names the fan-named {{bp|dragon trio}} as the '''legendary titans''', fitting to the great powers of {{p|Dialga}}, {{p|Palkia}} and {{p|Giratina}}.

The names of Sinnoh's {{bp|Frontier Brain}}s have not been revealed as of yet.
