Leaked pictures of the July issue of {{bp|CoroCoro}} posted to [http://pokemonfigure.blogspot.com/2008/06/shaymin-sky-forme-info5-confirmed.html All About Pokémon Figure] and [http://raim2005.blog18.fc2.com/blog-entry-693.html blue skY] have confirmed {{p|Shaymin}}'s {{t|Grass}}/{{t|Flying}}-type Sky Forme, providing its official {{bp|Ken Sugimori}} artwork and a screen shot of it in battle in {{bp|Pokémon Platinum}}. The photos also revealed that Platinum will have a new ''Torn World'' map area, and two new human characters will be added to the game's storyline.

Recipients of the {{p|Regigigas}} that will be given away at Japanese theaters during the movie's run will be able to capture {{p|Regice}}, {{p|Regirock}} and {{p|Registeel}} in Platinum when Regigigas is transfered to the game. To receive the Regigigas, moviegoers must pre-order a ticket for the movie and present it at the theater.

Pre-orders of Platinum begin July 19, the day ''{{p|Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet: Shaymin}}'', the 11th Pokémon movie, opens in Japanese theaters. Although the pictures are too small to confirm, it appears people who pre-order the game will receive a collectible {{p|Giratina}} Origin Forme figure.
