{{bp|Pokémon Center (store)|Pokémon Centers}} in Japan will be distributing six event Pokémon that have the ability to Mega Evolve during battle. Each Pokémon will be holding a {{bp|Mega Stone}}. There will also be a tournament called the Pokémon Center Battle Championship held. The Elite 4 of each Pokémon Center store will be battling against players in the championship. The players may use the Pokémon that were distributed on their team.

On May 24 and June 21, the battles will be 3 on 3 Single Battles, that are open to players of all ages. On May 25 and June 22, the battles will be 3 on 3 Single Battles, that are only open to players at elementary school age or younger.  

On July 12, the battles will be 4 on 4 Double Battles, that are open to players of all ages. On July 13, the battles will be 4 on 4 Double Battles, that are open to players at elementary school age or younger. 

{{p|Gyarados}} will be in a {{bp|Cherish Ball}} and will be level 50. It will have the moves {{m4|Waterfall|Earthquake|Ice Fang|Dragon Dance}}. It will be distributed from May 10 until May 18 and will be holding the {{bp|Gyaradosite}}. 

{{p|Scizor}} will be in a Cherish Ball and will be level 50. It will have the moves {{m4|Bullet Punch|Swords Dance|Roost|U-Turn}}. It will be distributed from May 19 until May 25 and will be holding the {{bp|Scizorite}}.

{{p|Kangaskhan}} will be in a Cherish Ball and will be level 50. It will have the moves {{m4|Fake Out|Return|Earthquake|Sucker Punch}}. It will be distributed from May 26 until June 1 and will be holding the {{bp|Kangaskhanite}}. 

{{p|Gengar}} will be in a Cherish Ball and will be level 50. It will have the moves {{m4|Shadow Ball|Sludge Bomb|Will-O-Wisp|Destiny Bond}}. It will be distributed from June 2 until June 8 and will be holding the {{bp|Gengarite}}.

{{p|Tyranitar}} will be in a Cherish Ball and will be level 50. It will have the moves {{m4|Stone Edge|Crunch|Earthquake|Ice Punch}}. It will be distributed from June 9 until June 15 and will be holding the {{bp|Tyranitarite}}.
