Pokémon-related plans for Gamescom 2014 have been revealed.

A special video message from {{bp|Junichi Masuda}} about {{bp|Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire}} will be shown. No further information is known about this message.

While supplies last, players will be able to obtain a serial code to obtain {{bp|Poké Ball}} pattern {{p|Vivillon}} on {{bp|Pokémon X and Y}} games. This code can only be redeemed on European region copies of the games.

On August 14, six players will be able to battle {{bp|Shigeki Morimoto}}, leading developer for the Pokémon battle system. Three of these battles will be held at noon, and three at 3 pm. Players wishing to participate in this battle must submit an application by August 8, following the instructions [http://www.nintendo.de/News/2014/Juli/Pokemon-Fans-aufgepasst-Der-Battle-deines-Lebens--907542.html here]. Selected players will receive a day pass to Gamescom for August 14. Regardless of whether they win, these players will receive a coupon for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

Shigeki Morimoto will also be holding an autograph session.

Gamescom is the world's largest trade fair and event highlight for interactive games and entertainment. It is held annually in {{wp|Cologne}}, Germany; this year it is being held from August 13 to 17, 2014, although it only opens to the general public on August 14.
