Season 3 of the Rating Battles for {{bp|Pokémon X and Y}} will run from today until May 12. Only Pokémon in the Central, Coastal, and Mountain Kalos Pokédexes may be used. The battles are Double Battles, with {{p|Mewtwo}}, {{p|Xerneas}}, {{p|Yveltal}}, and {{p|Zygarde}} being the only Pokémon from the Kalos Pokédexes that may not be used.

All Pokémon with levels above 50 will be set to level 50. Players must have 4-6 Pokémon registered in their game's Battle Box on the Pokémon PC. Pokémon must be bred, obtained through a Mystery Gift event, or caught in the Pokémon X and Y games to be eligible. Players who disconnect during the battle will receive an automatic loss. 

A new feature is available for the Rating Battles. The top 12 Pokémon that were used are displayed on the battle page. When viewing a Pokémon on the battle page, the top moves that were used in battles, which ones were the most effective in players' wins, and which moves were used to defeat it in most losses are displayed. The top 10 Pokémon that were defeated by the Pokémon, and the top 10 Pokémon that were used to defeat it are also displayed.

The most-used Items and Abilities of a Pokémon can also be displayed. The top ten Pokémon that were used on a team along side the Pokémon are also displayed.
