{{bp|Eric Medalle}}, the Creative Design Director at {{bp|The Pokémon Company International}}, has died in a windstorm-related accident.

On March 13, while in his car with his daughter, a tree felled by the storm crushed his car, killing him but leaving his daughter with only minor injuries. He is survived by his two young daughters and wife.

Medalle is credited as a graphic designer for the {{bp|core series}} Pokémon games from {{game|HeartGold and SoulSilver|s}} onward, as well as {{bp|Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia}}, {{bp|Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs}}, and {{bp|Pokémon Conquest}}. He has designed or co-designed almost every international TCG logo since Nintendo took control of card production.
