Japanese voice actress {{wp|Miyu Matsuki}} has passed away at the age of 38.

In the Pokémon anime, Matsuki provided the voice of {{bp|Caitlin}} in the episode ''{{bp|BW090|Jostling for the Junior Cup!}}'', and Timmy, one of the Brock's siblings, in the episode ''{{bp|SS001|A Family That Battles Together Stays Together!}}''.

In July, she took a break from voice acting due to pneumonia. At the time, she said that she had had persistent a fever since the start of the year, and found out that she had acute pneumonia after repeatedly going to the hospital for check-ups. She ultimately died from this illness.

Matsuki's famous non-Pokémon roles include Kūko in ''{{wp|Nyaruko: Crawling with Love}}'', {{wp|Isumi Saginomiya}} in {{wp|Hayate the Combat Butler}}, Magical Sapphire in ''{{wp|Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya}}'', and {{wp|Anna Nishikinomiya}} in ''{{wp|Shimoneta: A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn't Exist}}''.

She was scheduled to voice Charlotte Dimandias in the upcoming anime adaption of ''{{wp|Hundred (novel series)|Hundred}}''.
