Alolan Muk, evolutions of new Pokémon revealed
|
A new trailer for Pokémon Sun and Moon has revealed new Pokémon, Alola Forms and characters, as well as the information revealed in this month's CoroCoro.
Silvally (known in Japanese as Shiruvadi) is a Normal-type Pokémon and the evolved form of Type: Null. It has the new Ability RKS System (known in Japanese as AR System), which changes its type when holding specific type-related items, known as Memories in Japanese (not named in English promotional material). It has the new and exclusive move Multi-Attack, an attack which changes depending on which Memory it is holding, such that it matches its current type. When Type: Null gains a partner it can trust, it deliberately destroys the restraining device it wears.
Hakamo-o (known is Japanese as Jarango) is a Dragon/Fighting-type Pokémon and the evolved form of Jangmo-o. It can have either Bulletproof or Soundproof as its Ability. It can learn Sky Uppercut. Hakamo-o dances before battle to show its strength, clanging its scales together to make them ring out, then bellows a fierce war cry to challenge its opponent at the dance's climax.
Kommo-o (known is Japanese as Jararanga) is a Dragon/Fighting-type Pokémon and the evolved form of Hakamo-o. It can have either Bulletproof or Soundproof as its Ability. It can learn the new move Clanging Scales, which deals damage then lowers its own Defense. There is a legend that says Kommo-o is covered in glittering scales in order to drive away a great darkness covering the world, which is why they constantly out battle to increase their power.
Steenee is Grass-type Pokémon and the evolved form of Bounsweet. It can have either Leaf Guard or Oblivious as its Ability. It can learn Leaf Storm and Magical Leaf. The calyx on Steenee's head is harder than Bounsweet's, so Steenee no longer worries about being stabbed by other Pokémon, making it happy to play with them.
Tsareena is Grass-type Pokémon and the evolved form of Steenee. It can have either Leaf Guard or the new Ability Queenly Majesty as its Ability. Queenly Majesty is exclusive to Tsareena and prevents opponents from using priority moves, just like the new Ability Dazzling. It can learn the new move Trop Kick, which deals damage then lowers the target's Attack. Tsareena has the nature of high-class nobility. Any Pokémon or human that approaches it with evil in mind will be punished.
Ribombee is a Bug/Fairy-type Pokémon and the evolved form of Cutiefly. It can have either Honey Gather or Shield Dust as its Ability. It can learn Dazzling Gleam. It was originally seen in a Train On live-action trailer, but no details were given about it at the time. Ribombee collect flower nectar and pollen to make into balls known as Pollen Puffs, which serve as food and can cause effects like paralysis or dizziness.
Alolan Grimer is a Poison/Dark-type Pokémon. It can have either Poison Touch or Gluttony as its Ability. It can learn Poison Fang. To deal with increasing garbage, Grimer were imported from other regions. They fed primarily on garbage, so their body composition changed.
Alolan Muk is a Poison/Dark-type Pokémon. It can have either Poison Touch or Gluttony as its Ability. It can learn Crunch and Gunk Shot. The Grimer and Muk in the Alola region produce and store their toxins within their bodies, so unlike the Grimer and Muk in other regions, they do not give off unpleasant aromas.
Olivia is the kahuna of Akala Island, the second island the player visits during their island challenge. She specializes in Rock-type Pokémon, using Pokémon such as Nosepass and Midnight Form Lycanroc. She is extraordinarily skilled and has served as a kahuna since a young age. Despite her skills, she insists that she is just a normal girl.
Ilima is a graduate of the Trainers' School and an expert in Normal-type Pokémon and Captain of the Verdant Cavern trial. He is considered a hero by the students of his former school.
Both of these characters' names appeared in the Legendaries Trailer on text boxes.
