Scans from the March 2010 issue of CoroCoro have surfaced, revealing the Pokémon silhouetted on Pokémon Sunday. The first known Generation V Pokémon is named ゾロアーク Zoroark. This Pokémon holds the "key" to the upcoming Pokémon movie, Ruler of Illusions: Zoroark. Additionally, the scan shows its pre-evolution, ゾロア Zorua. The scans also feature information on the upcoming game, Pokémon Ranger: Locus of Light.

According to the scan, Zoroark is the Illusory Fox Pokémon and is a pure Dark-type. It is 1.6m tall and weighs 81.1kg. It evolves from Zorua, also of the Dark-type, and is the Dark Fox Pokémon. It is 0.7m tall and weighs 12.5kg.

CoroCoro has also revealed some information on the upcoming game, Pokémon Ranger: Locus of Light. A new character will be introduced, named パネマ Panema. She will help the player character customize his/her Capture Styler and acquire Ranger Signs.

Four missions have also been revealed for the games. Deoxys can be obtained in Attack Forme learning the move Meteor Mash, and in Defense Forme with the move Detect. The former can be obtained if the player clears the mission with less than 5 minutes. The other mission is where the player obtains the Manaphy egg, just like the previous Pokémon Ranger games. The two missions are available March 6 to May 17.

The other special missions for the game involve capturing of Shaymin (in Sky Forme), and a Heatran that will know the move Eruption when transferred to Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. These missions are available March 18 to May 17.

Ruler of Illusions: Zoroark will premiere in Japan on July 10, while Pokémon Ranger: Locus of Light will be released March 6 in Japan.
