To celebrate {{bp|Pokémon 20th Anniversary|Pokémon's 20th anniversary}}, {{bp|Mythical Pokémon}} will be distributed throughout 2016 via serial code at {{wp|GameStop}} in the United States and via the {{bp|Nintendo Network}}. They will also be available throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand, but no details have been announced about that distribution. {{wp|EB Games}} Canada has also hinted that they will be distributing at least some of the Mythical Pokémon.

All the distributed Pokémon will be at {{bp|level}} 100, in a {{bp|Cherish Ball}}, and have a {{bp|Classic Ribbon}}. Their {{bp|original Trainer}} is "GF", and they each are met at "a {{bp|lovely place}}". The distribution can be obtained in both {{bp|Pokémon X and Y}} and {{bp|Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire}}.
